As an Asian American composer and lyricist, Alyssa is committed to creating stories that are universal and authentic to her lived experience. Her music is an ode to her classical piano training, her love of film scores, her attraction to jazz and R&B, and a good ole Sondheim motif. Kumiho
Kumiho is Alyssa's Senior Capstone Project for her minor. The musical is an amalgamation of both halves of her Korean and Japanese identity in a fairy tale love story about the mythical nine-tailed fox. Below are rough demos from her Capstone! More to come soon.
